Key Responsibilities:
Installation and
Maintenance:
Install new HVAC
systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps,
furnaces, and ductwork.
Perform routine
maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems to
ensure they operate efficiently.
Inspect HVAC
systems and their components, such as evaporators, condensers, and compressors,
to identify necessary repairs.
Troubleshooting and
Repair:
Diagnose and
troubleshoot HVAC system issues, including electrical and mechanical problems.
Repair or replace
defective components, such as motors, relays, thermostats, and switches.
Ensure all repairs are performed in
accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Customer Service:
Communicate
effectively with customers to understand their HVAC needs and provide solutions.
Explain technical
information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
Provide
recommendations for system upgrades and improvements to enhance system
performance.
Safety and
Compliance:
Follow all safety
protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Comply with local,
state, and federal regulations regarding HVAC systems and refrigerants.
Maintain accurate
records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
Team Collaboration:
Work
collaboratively with other technicians and team members to complete projects
and tasks efficiently.
Participate in
training and development programs to stay updated on the latest HVAC
technologies and techniques.
Qualifications:
Education and
Certification:
High school diploma
or equivalent.
Completion of a
formal HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
Certification for
handling refrigerants (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of [2]
years of experience as an HVAC technician.
Proven experience
in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
