JOB DESCRIPTION Ai Educator and Learning Designer Museum of Solutions (MuSo), Mumbai
ABOUT US: The Museum of Solutions (MuSo) is a new, world-class childrens museum being developed by the JSW Foundation in Mumbai, India. MuSos vision is to inspire, enable, and empower children to make meaningful change in the world together, today. MuSos learning and engagement model is hands-on, fun, and interactive but also focused on the real world. The museums programs and exhibits, inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, are designed to cultivate the knowledge, skills, mindset and actions that kids need to solve the challenges they see around them and create meaningful change in the world. MuSo will be the first interactive and immersive learning environment of its kind for children in India. MuSo has a programming team that aims to deliver MuSos learning goals through engaging programs, activities, individual and group projects that enable and empower young thinkers and makers of the city to pursue their ideas and turn them into reality.
Position Details: AI Curriculum Educator
The AI Curriculum Educator will be responsible for:
Teaching and Facilitating:
o Deliver and facilitate an AI-designed curriculum, tailored for children across various age groups. o Engage students with interactive and hands-on learning experiences focused on AI concepts and applications.
o Ensure that all activities align with MuSos educational objectives and the UNSDGs.
Curriculum Adaptation and Implementation:
o Customize and adapt the provided curriculum to suit the learning needs and abilities of diverse learners.
o Incorporate inquiry-based learning strategies and open-ended exploration into the curriculum delivery.
Workshop Development and Delivery:
o Plan, develop, and conduct workshops that are fun, educational, and rooted in AI technologies.
o Assist in the creation of additional content and materials to supplement the AI curriculum as needed.
Classroom Management:
o Maintain a safe, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment for all participants.
o Provide guidance to students in developing critical skills such as problem solving, collaboration, and digital literacy.
Assessment and Evaluation:
o Develop and implement evaluation strategies to assess the curriculum's effectiveness and achievement of learning outcomes.
o Provide feedback and reports on the progress and development of students.
Collaboration and Support:
o Work closely with MuSos programming team to integrate AI learning into broader museum initiatives.
o Assist with other tasks as assigned by the senior management to support MuSo's mission.
Essential Prerequisites:
A degree in Education or Engineering, (Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence would be a plus) or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching technology-based curriculum, (exposure to AI or computational thinking would be a plus)
Sound knowledge of educational theories and approaches, especially in relation to AI and digital literacy.
Experience in curriculum adaptation and instructional design.
Teaching certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
Abilities and Competencies:
Strong understanding of AI concepts and their practical applications.
Creative and innovative in delivering content to engage young learners.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Contract Details:
This is a contract-based position with the possibility of extension based on performance and program needs.
The selected candidate must be able to start as soon as possible.
