- Job Title: Agriculture Researcher
- Job Location: Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra
- Salary: CTC INR 20,000 - 30,000 per month
The Agriculture Researcher will be responsible for monitoring the Doordarshak ( Our Product name ) pilot program on the field. The candidate must visit the field once in two days for monitoring the results of the product. This includes identifying pests and diseases, assisting the technical team for development of solutions, reading research papers, articles for finding solutions to problems given by the technical team. The Agriculture Researcher should have a strong knowledge of agriculture and pests and diseases, or should be willing to learn.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct regular visits to agricultural clients, including farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses. Assess their needs, provide product demonstrations, and offer tailored solutions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Generate leads, conduct sales presentations, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Provide exceptional customer service, address any issues or concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Monitor the Doordarshak pilot program on the field, identifying pests and diseases.
Provide training to farmers on how to use the Doordarshak system and how to identify and control pests and diseases.
Conduct regular visits to farms to monitor the progress of the pilot program and to provide support to farmers.
Maintain records of the pilot program, including data on pests and diseases, crop yields, and farmer satisfaction.
Work with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving the effectiveness of the Doordarshak system.
Doctorate in Agriculture Entomology or a closely related field.
Bachelor's degree ( B.Sc / M.Sc ) in agriculture or a related field.
1+ years of experience in agriculture or pest management.
Strong knowledge of pests and diseases.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel.
Strong research skills and ability to understand the causes of diseases.
Interest in research and development.
The Agriculture Researcher will work in a field setting, and will be exposed to the elements.
The work hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to saturday.
