Avalara's Agile PMO team is looking for an experienced Program Delivery Agile Coach to join our Information Technology Teams
As an Agile Coach, you will be supporting the Information Technology group to ensure program teams adhere to the Agile Process and bring organizational structure, Agile disciplines, and day-to-day operational management to the teams. You will also partner with multiple Agile teams on their release efforts. You will be responsible for evangelizing Agile best practices by educating colleagues, coaching teams, collaborating with leaders on the Agile adoption strategy and working with the Transformation Lead to implement the Agile methodology across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with scrum teams accountable forCorporate Technology, People Technology, and Business Technology systems to ensure delivery teams are maximizing efficiency to quickly deliver incremental value to both internal IT and external business stakeholder.
- Understand and implement Avalara SDLC in Program Teams
- Understand Business goals and partner with TPMs in Lean Portfolio Management Roadmapping, within Teams and across multiple dependent teams
- As a hands-on Agile Coach for 10+ teams in the Program, drive proper framework adoption and build great product by following the Agile Process
- Coach Scrum Leads to help build both next generation products and maintain the current product line
- Understand the domain of large and complex IT ecosystem
- You willcollaborate closely with scrum teams accountable forCorporate Technology, People Technology, and Business Technology systemsto ensure delivery teams are maximizing efficiency to quickly deliver incremental value to both internal IT and external business stakeholder.
- Partner with TPM to facilitate Dependency Management across multiple Business units
- Partner with Engineering and Product Leaders to remove roadblocks and align on their expectations in achieving desired outcomes, results, and deliverables.
- Proactively monitor and assess teams Agile maturity, health metrics and project needs
- Help teams to recognize and produce Agile artifacts
- Manage release train
Experiences:
- 10+ years of total IT experience in software development, product management or Business Analysis
- 8+ years of Agile experiences in Scrum and Kanban with highly technical projects
- 5+ years in mid to large enterprise software project management
- 2+ years of implementing or working in SAFe framework
- Experience in Agile transformation
- Technical Understanding of SaaS Product development
- Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- SAFe Certification
Must have:
- Understand spirit of Agile, Portfolio Management and DevOps practices
- Understand finer nuances of Scrum & Kanban
- Understand large scale project management
- Understand release planning, coordination, and management
- Have worked with a multi-team data dependency lifecycle environment
- Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and advanced filters
Preferred:
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Actively drove large scale Agile framework adoption in medium-large program
