AFM F&B lead

In this role, you'll be in charge of the preparation, cooking and service of food based on agreed standards and specification. Thus, your ability to provide high-quality catering services will be essential to succeed in this fast-paced yet exciting field.

A typical day would involve ensuring that the calorie count of each food served is on display; and on special days (such as VIP visits, conference, festivals, etc.), you'll find yourself preparing and ironing out plans for events. From time to time, you will also reach out to staff and employees for their feedback through the cafeteria online survey to get a fuller picture of the strengths and improvement areas of your services.

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Lead vendor resource to join our dynamic Workplace Services team. Our Workplace Managers lead teams that are responsible for creating a best in class workplace experience by overseeing vendor services, driving workplace communications, establishing stakeholder relations, and identifying ongoing opportunities for improvement. This role covers a diverse range of responsibilities and is focused on owning and managing day-to-day operations for one of our office locations.

As the Food and Beverage Program Lead, you will partner closely with the local Workplace Services Manager to manage and execute all food and beverage related operations, which includes - running our 3 x weekly lunch program, welcome new hires breakfast, surprise and delight moments, and all other internal events catering needs.

We are looking for someone that is creative and passionate about food, with a strong operations background that can design an inclusive approach to help scale our Culture through our exciting food programs.

Specific duties :

l Manage end-to-end TTD food and Beverages program (3 x weekly lunches, pantry program, surprise and delight), which includes budget management, caterers selection and performance, menu design and operations execution

l Support catering needs for internal events

l Perform regular audits and checks to gather data to improve and scale food services operations

Qualification:

l Strong experience in running catering programs plus events management

l Highly creative with food storytelling, proficient in designing menus and creative

l Ability to multi-task and manage multiple programs and deadlines

l Prior experience in running food programs in the tech industry and start-ups is a strong plus

l Food & Beverages, Safety & Hygiene Policies & Procedure Certification will be an added advantage

Taking budget into account

One of your challenges will be to make smart, cost-effective decisions with regard to the use of all resources such as stocks, team members and company assets. As such, you must to keep a close watch on the budget and come up with saving opportunities to reduce cost.

You will also prepare the F&B operational manual or handbook and take part in the weekly call with all caf SPOC and FMs to discuss any operational challenges. As the unit's go-to person, you should also stand ready to offer your advice and solutions on daily operational challenges.

Being a stickler for safety

This role will also keep you on your toes, as you will need to make sure that catering operationsfrom food and raw material specifications to equipmentare kept safe and secure, and comply with all health and safety regulations.

On top of that, you will conduct work and food safety audits as a preventive approach. You'll also have a hand in preparing the surprise cafeteria monthly audit calendar, which you will share with the line manager. You'll also be expected to be an ace initiative when it comes to reducing food waste for all cafeterias.

Are you a self-motivated individual who can convey your messages with flair, be it spoken or written These qualities will be helpful during client meetings and formal presentations with senior management, and in drafting technical reports and training materials. With your eloquence, it will also be easier for you to train staff and get them on board any new initiatives.

Strategically savvy

This position is a perfect opportunity for you to bring in your operational expertise, as you generate well thought out policies and strategies. You should also be able to carry out audits and dig through evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documentation and records.

A master multitasker
