Job Description:

The Academic Counselor at HIU is pivotal in guiding students through their educational pathways. This role involves providing tailored academic advice, facilitating course selection, and ensuring students achieve their academic goals with the tools and support necessary for success both during their tenure at HIU and in their future endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective students and their parents to understand their educational needs, aspirations, and barriers.
• Articulate the advantages of HIU programs, emphasizing our commitment to luxury, excellence, and student success to persuade and secure enrollments.
• Develop and implement strategies to generate leads through various channels, including educational fairs, online platforms, and networking events.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to create and present compelling, customized presentations that highlight HIU's unique offerings.
• Maintain rigorous follow-up with prospective students and families to ensure engagement and progression through the enrollment funnel.
• Perform tasks assigned by management that contribute to the department's goals.
• Ensure compliance with all university policies and standards during the admission processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in academic advising or counseling, ideally with abroad consultation for 10+ years.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of nurturing strong relationships and trust with diverse student populations.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Comprehensive understanding of academic programs, requirements, and the regulatory landscape of abroad education.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with academic database systems.
