Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to understand their educational aspirations and challenges.
- Develop personalized learning plans and recommend courses that align with students interests and career objectives.
- Provide emotional support and academic advice to students, fostering a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to monitor student progress and address any concerns or barriers to success.
- Organize workshops and seminars on study skills, time management, stress management, and other relevant topics.
- Assist with the admissions process, including explaining program offerings and admission requirements to prospective students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and feedback.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in education and career development to provide up-to-date guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as an educational counselor or in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathetic and patient, with a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for counseling and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
