Job Description

Position: Admission Counsellor
Location: Manchester Global School, Hyderabad
Reports to: Admissions Head & Executive Director
Working Hours: 8.15 am to 4.15 pm (With mandatory 1-2 Weekend Working)

Overview:
The School Admission Counsellor is responsible for managing the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for prospective families. The counsellor plays a key role in promoting the school's values and programs to prospective students and parents, guiding them through the admission process, and ensuring that all admission targets are met.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Prospective Student and Family Engagement:
o Respond to inquiries from prospective families through various channels (email, phone, in-person).
o Provide detailed and accurate information about the school, curriculum, admission procedures, and other related topics.
o Guide prospective families through the admission process, ensuring timely submission of applications, required documents, and payment of fees.
o Conduct school tours and organize open houses or virtual events to introduce families to the school environment, facilities, and staff.

2. Application Management:
o Manage and monitor the entire admissions process from the initial inquiry to the final enrollment.
o Assist families in completing application forms and submitting necessary documentation.
o Coordinate admission tests, interviews, and assessments, as required.
o Keep track of applications, follow up with families on any outstanding documents or steps, and ensure a high conversion rate from inquiry to enrollment.

3. Communication and Relationship Building:
o Maintain regular communication with prospective families, providing updates on the status of their application.
o Develop and maintain relationships with local and international schools, educational consultants, and community partners to enhance outreach and recruitment efforts.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the school at educational fairs, online platforms, and other marketing channels.

4. Record Keeping and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inquiries, applications, and enrollments using the school's database and CRM system.
o Generate and present regular reports on admissions statistics, trends, and performance to school leadership.
o Ensure that admissions policies and procedures comply with the school's guidelines and government regulations.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with the academic and administrative departments to ensure a smooth transition for newly admitted students.
o Liaise with the finance department to ensure proper fee management and payment processes.
o Support the marketing team by providing insights from prospective families and assisting in outreach activities.

6. Continuous Improvement:
o Continuously review and improve the admissions process to enhance the prospective family experience.
o Stay updated on trends and best practices in international school admissions.
o Attend relevant training and professional development programs.

7. Knowledge of Excel and Data Management is must:
o Use Excel for data analysis, generating reports, and tracking admissions metrics.
o Manage and analyze large sets of admission data to forecast trends, identify gaps, and support decision-making.
o Ensure the accuracy of data entry, maintain admission-related databases, and generate customized reports for senior management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in admissions, marketing, or a customer service role, preferably in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Working knowledge of Excel is essential for data management, report generation, and admissions forecasting.
Proficiency in CRM software and admissions systems is an added advantage.
Fluency in English, Hindi, Telugu (Knowledge of any other language is added advantage).
