Position Overview:
As the Admission Counselling Lead at SARAS AI you will be responsible for leading the admissions counselling team and overseeing the entire admissions process. Your primary goal will be to ensure that prospective students receive the best possible guidance and support throughout their application journey. Additionally, you will incorporate sales and business development strategies to attract and enroll qualified students, ensuring the growth and success of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of admission counsellors.
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the admissions team.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and support.
Admissions Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and implement effective admissions strategies to attract and enroll qualified students.
- Analyze market trends and student data to refine recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate with marketing and communication teams to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve enrollment targets.
- Identify and develop new markets and recruitment channels to expand the institution's reach.
- Forge partnerships with high schools, colleges, educational agencies, and other institutions to create a pipeline of prospective students.
- Represent the institution at external events, such as college fairs and education expos, to promote programs and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Student Engagement and Counselling:
- Oversee the counselling of prospective students, providing information about academic programs, admission criteria, and the application process.
- Conduct information sessions, webinars, and one-on-one counselling sessions with prospective students and their families.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries from prospective students.
Application Review and Decision Making:
- Manage the application review process, ensuring all applications are thoroughly evaluated.
- Collaborate with academic departments and faculty to assess applicant qualifications.
- Make informed admission decisions and communicate outcomes to applicants.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Maintain and analyze admissions data to track progress towards enrollment goals.
- Prepare regular reports on admissions statistics, trends, and outcomes for senior management.
- Use data insights to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure all admissions processes comply with university policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in admissions and higher education.
- Implement and maintain ethical standards in all admissions practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in admissions counselling, sales, and business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of university admissions processes, academic programs, and higher education landscape.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using admissions management systems and software.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in counselling or a related field.
- Experience in a higher education institution or educational consultancy.
