Join our team at LED Phantom Distribution as an Accounts Payable Specialist. As an independent electrical distributor specializing in commercial and residential lighting, we are expanding into new markets and seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage our accounts payable processes. Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
Perform reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues.
Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. - Utilize financial software, such as Sage, for data entry and reporting.
Perform clerical tasks including 10-key typing and filing of financial documents.
Support the HRIS system by accurately inputting employee payroll data.
Requirements:
Prior experience in governmental accounting or a similar field is preferred. - Proficiency in ADP software for payroll processing is a plus. - Knowledge of journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping principles. - Familiarity with financial software applications for accounts payable functions. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.
