Accounts Payable Clerk - US GAAP

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on the night shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high volumes of invoices accurately and timely.
• Verify coding, obtain approvals, and ensure appropriate documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CA/CPA Certification Preferred but not Mandatory
• Prior experience working night shifts or in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Associate (CAPA) is a plus.
