Position Title: Account Executive
- Department: Finance and Accounts
Reports To:
Finance Manager
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, and supporting the Finance Manager in various financial matters. The role includes handling reconciliations, bank payments, statutory compliance, and preparation of monthly financial statements.
Regular Accounting:- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, expenses).- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements.- Reconcile discrepancies found in records.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of all financial data.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.- Monitor bank transactions and resolve issues related to payments.
Liaise with banks for any queries or issues.
Ensure timely and accurate calculation and payment of Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Goods and Services Tax (GST).- Prepare and submit statutory returns and reports as required.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Monthly Financials Preparation:
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Get financials reviewed and approved by the Finance Manager.
Support to Finance Manager:
- Work closely with the Finance Manager on various accounting and financial matters.
Assist in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
General Duties:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
- Assist in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good organizational and time management abilities.- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Malad OfficeHours:
Full-time position, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM Mon to Friday.
