Job Role:
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations in the retail store, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial reporting. This role ensures all accounting processes comply with company policies and procedures and supports the store's financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements with internal accounting records.
- Process daily sales and record cash flow.
Invoicing & Billing:
- Generate and process invoices for suppliers and vendors.
- Verify, match, and process purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
- Ensure timely payment of bills and follow up on overdue payments.
Inventory Management:
- Track stock levels and reconcile with sales records.
- Collaborate with the store manager on stock audits and report discrepancies.
Payroll:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of staff payroll.
- Maintain records of employee attendance, leave, and deductions.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Handle GST filing, TDS payments, and other statutory compliance.
- Ensure accurate tax deductions and timely submission of returns.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide financial insights to the management for decision-making.
Audit & Reconciliation:
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly account reconciliations.
Other Duties:
- Support with special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team for seamless financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in handling retail store finances.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of inventory and stock control systems.
Location: RA Puram, Chennai - 28
Work Week: Monday to Saturday
Work Timings: 10AM to 8PM
