Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • GST Compliance:
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns.
  • Reconcile GST input and output tax.
Maintain accurate records of GST transactions and ensure compliance with GST regulations.
  • Address any discrepancies or issues related to GST with vendors and customers.
Assist in audits and queries related to GST from tax authorities.
Accounting Support: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain and update accounting records, including ledgers, journals, and financial documents.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payments.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
  • Accurately input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
Maintain organized records of all financial documents and transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assisting with Audits:
  • Support the Accounts Manager during internal and external audits.
Prepare necessary documentation and data required for audit purposes.
  • Respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.
Other Duties:
  • Assist with payroll processing and statutory compliance.
Support the finance team in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification in GST compliance or related courses is a plus.
  • Experience:
1-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with GST filing and compliance is essential.
Skills:
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of GST laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
