Position: Accounts and Billing Associate

Job Description:
The Accounts and Billing Associate will be responsible for reviewing new accounts and ensuring
accuracy and completeness. This role includes processing payments and making outbound calls
to resolve accounts-related issues. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to
customer interaction, accuracy in documentation, and effective resolution of account matters.
Essential Functions

1. Account Management and Documentation:
o Review incoming emails and ticketing system inquiries to ensure timely response
and follow-up.
o Navigate billing platforms to validate new customer sign-ups and review account
accuracy.
o Verify documentation provided by account holders for legitimacy, using public
records where needed.
o Check that all required permits or licenses are on file for customer accounts.
2. Customer Communication and Payment Processing:
o Communicate with account holders through phone and email to address and
resolve account issues.
o Conduct conference calls with account holders and banks to handle credit and
charge-back issues.
o Process payments and accurately apply them to customer accounts, following up
on discrepancies or underpayments.
o Educate customers on payment methods and provide additional account
support.
3. Project-Based Tasks:
o Support the USPS project by collecting necessary documentation from
customers, verifying via online searches, and compiling information for approval.
o Organize and maintain data using spreadsheets and PDFs for project reporting.
4. Administrative Support:
o Adhere to department protocols, company policies, and maintain organized,
accurate records.
o Perform additional administrative duties as needed to support department
objectives.

6.Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
7.Work Environment:
This position is full-time and onsite, based at Overseas IT Services headquarters in Hyderabad,
Telangana. (Its a night shift role)
8.Physical Demand:
This role is primarily sedentary, involving prolonged computer use. The ability to focus on tasks
for extended periods and switch between multiple projects as needed is essential.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position with fixed hours, though availability may occasionally be
required for urgent project needs or client communication outside standard hours.
Travel
Minimal travel may be required for training or inter-departmental collaboration.
9.Required Education and Experience:
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on professional communication
Ability to speak with a natural accent and communicate clearly
Proficiency in problem-solving and attention to detail
Strong written communication and research capabilities
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) experience preferred
Proficient computer skills, especially in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Knowledge of the English language, including current idioms and phrases
Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred Education and Experience
Certification in MS Office, Google Sheets, or basic computer applications preferred
Certification in the English language is advantageous, with knowledge of other
languages as a plus
Research experience using multiple sources preferred
