- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders, management, and external parties such as investors and regulatory authorities.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate annual audits and reviews with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of all Accounting Memos to support the audit.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the accounting department.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to support business objectives and resolve financial issues.
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Purchase price accounting experience required.
- Public Accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle - Netsuite) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
