As an Accounting Business Partner, you will be a key advisor to CFOs, ensuring the integrity and quality of financial reporting for specific legal entities. You will manage complex accounting transactions, oversee compliance with accounting standards, and drive improvements in financial processes. Your role includes leading financial reviews, coordinating with global hubs, and supporting audits. Key Responsibilities:Financial Steering & Reporting:Manage accounting and financial reporting for assigned legal entities, ensuring compliance with group and local standards.Act as the primary liaison between local organizations and MBS Finance.Prepare, review, and release financial packages during monthly and year-end closings.Compliance & Advisory:Ensure adherence to IFRS, Local GAAP, and internal controls, including SOX controls.Provide advisory on complex accounting matters and manage financial audits.Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of issues.Monitor tax and accounting law changes, implementing necessary adjustments.Performance & Process Management:Oversee the accuracy and transparency of financial statements and drive global standardization in reporting and analytics.Collaborate with global hubs to monitor and improve accounting processes and address issues in related domains.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Participate in transition and transformation processes, and manage documentation in line with process changes.Stakeholder & Project Management:Lead and support local and global projects impacting legal entity accounting and reporting.Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including CFOs, and manage risk-based financial reviews.Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.Supervise migration and transition projects.Train new employees and contribute to process excellence initiatives. Who you are: A Chartered Accountant as recognised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.At least 8 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, IFRS, audit, and accounting, preferably in shared services and managing multiple entities, with 4+ years in IFRS and audit, ideally with Big 4 experience. with a strong background in SAP (FI, CO, MM)/ Oracle ERPs is advantageous.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a talent for identifying root causes and developing long-term solutions.Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and work with cross-functional teams across finance, IT, and other departments.Governance & Compliance: Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit processes.Technical Expertise: Proficient in judgmental accounting and applying new/revised accounting policies.Leadership & Ownership: Proactive and collaborative, with a focus on continuous improvement and accountability.Self-motivated with a proven track record of personal development; willingness to invest time in upskilling is essential for success.Ability to work effectively in a diverse organization with multiple nationalities.Advanced degree or Certifications in Finance, Accounting (e.g., CIMA, CMA, MBA) would be an added advantage.
