Position Overview:
JOOLA is seeking a junior-level Accounting Associate with 3+ years of experience to contribute to the growth of its new Accounting Hub in India. The role will involve ensuring the hub's operations are compliant with global standards, supporting financial operations, and improving existing processes. The Accounting Associate will also be trained to ensure seamless integration with JOOLA's global accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Development of the Accounting Hub:
Assist in establishing key processes and systems for the India-based Accounting Hub.
Ensure accounting operations comply with both local and global policies.
2. Compliance with Global Policies:
Implement and monitor compliance with global accounting policies and standards.
Adapt and follow HQ-directed accounting procedures.
3. Process Understanding and Training:
Gain a solid understanding of the existing workflows within the hub.
Identify areas for process improvements and assist in training team members to maintain Compliance with global standards.
4. Financial Reporting and Operations:
Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage reconciliations, financial closures, and reporting for key regional business units.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with global finance and accounting leadership to support global reporting and compliance efforts.
Communicate progress and updates to global stakeholders, collaborating with finance teams across regions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
4+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
Experience with compliance, reporting, and process improvements in alignment with international policies.
Skills:
Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local regulatory requirements.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
