Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at Shizen Energy India Private Limited. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and performing various accounting tasks. This is a full-time position based in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, India. The ideal candidate should have less than 1 year of experience as an Accountant.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Less than 1 year of experience as an Accountant
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Knowledge of ZOHO BOOKS, Tally ERP, and other accounting tools
- Familiarity with sales invoicing and purchase order processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and compliance with accounting principles
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice generation, payment processing, and collections
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide management with timely and relevant information
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Conduct regular reconciliation of bank statements and other financial documents
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls
