Key Responsibilities
- Financial Data Entry: Record financial transactions accurately and promptly in accounting software or spreadsheets and maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions for easy reference and analysis.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable: Prepare invoices and statements for customers and clients in a timely manner and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on overdue accounts as needed.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies and resolve any discrepancies or errors in a timely manner to maintain financial integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements and generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management to support decision-making processes.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations in all financial activities and maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records, invoices, receipts, and other relevant documents. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents.and assist with other accounting and finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Ethical behavior and integrity in handling financial information and transactions.
