Key role and responsibility:
As the Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, experience in the jewelry or luxury goods industry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate financial reports for management, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations to achieve financial goals.
- Cash Management:
- Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate funds for daily operations.
- Prepare cash flow projections and recommend strategies for optimizing cash resources.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and customer invoices.
- Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with relevant departments to track and reconcile inventory.
- Perform periodic inventory valuations and assess inventory turnover.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Provide insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making.
- Expense Management:
- Monitor and control expenses to align with budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Ad hoc Financial Projects:
- Participate in special financial projects as assigned by management.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance overall financial operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the luxury goods or jewelry industry is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance is advantageous.
