Position Objective:
Halma India's purpose is to accelerate the group's growth in India. Its role is to influence, enable, and partner with the group companies in identifying opportunities, building strategies, and achieving the businesses potential in India.
Halma India provides marketing insights, business development services, infrastructure support, and digital services to its group companies. It also provides trading, manufacturing, and sourcing platforms for the group companies, which enable them to maximize their market reach, ensure compliance with the local statutory requirements, and leverage Make-in-India and supply chain opportunities in India.
The organization is growing through an exponential growth curve owing to the rapid economic growth of the Indian economy and the potential opportunities in India.
Our Finance & Accounts team plays a crucial role in supporting this growth, partnering with leadership to develop business models, manage risks, and ensure smooth operations.
The Manager of Accounts plays a key role within our mid-level management team. The primary responsibility is to build and lead a high performing accounting function that caters to the evolving needs of our diverse and growing businesses. The individual should be able to foster a culture of continuous improvement and elevate the performance and efficiency of our organization's accounting function. The mindset of customer service and high standards of delivery are essential to the role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the accounting processes for the organization in compliance with INDAS and group policies for the existing and future operations of the organization, leading to accurate reporting of the financial results of the organization.
- Establish standardized, efficient, and accurate monthly closing processes that meet group timelines, conduct ledger scrutiny, and review reconciliations to ensure reliable and timely reporting.
- Revisit the internal controls and identify improvement areas to strengthen the risk management environment of the organization.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment to employees and vendors. Identify and initiate process improvements in the Accounts Payable (AP) function to enhance the customer experience and efficiency of operations.
- Develop a sustainable and efficient Accounts Receivable (AR) process that is scalable to the evolving diverse growth plans of the organization. Manage the credit risk in collaboration with the business heads and ensure an efficient cash collection cycle.
- Improve the inventory and asset management processes, which adheres to internal controls and valuation methods, and oversee physical verification and reconciliations to ensure robust asset management
- Initiate and manage statutory, internal, and peer reviews for the company, implement the audit recommendations leading to improved quality, compliance and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Customs, FEMA, other statutes and internal control policies of the company in the accounting operations
- Monitor; forecast, and manage the organization's cash flow, minimize the forex risk through hedging; and manage banking relationships for the organization.
- Identify, implement and manage automation opportunities within the accounting operations. Drive the ERP implementation and ensure the project timelines and deliverables are successfully met.
- Effectively collaborate with the business heads, opco leadership, functional heads and corporate finance teams to be an effective partner in fulfilling the business needs.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a collaborative and energized team committed to the common goals of the function and organization.
- Establish goals, KPIs, and measure performance and continuously improve the standard of performance. Be an ambassador of the cultural attributes of the organization and ensure the team imbibes the cultural attributes and values
