Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account & Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a group of companies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing multi-company accounts, possess strong knowledge in compliance, and have expertise in financial reporting and analysis. The role requires hands-on experience with manufacturing accounting, tax compliance, and import-export transactions. You will lead a team of 5-6 members, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and providing insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for the group of companies, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Provide timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights to support decision-making.
Month-End And Year-End Close
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial data accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports to identify trends and variances.
Budgeting And Forecasting
- Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance versus budgeted figures and analyze variances.
- Collaborate with various departments to collect and validate financial data.
General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across multiple companies.
- Review and post journal entries, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations and managing payments for TDS, GST, and income tax.
Compliance And Audit
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including TDS, GST, and income tax filings.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Financial Analysis
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Perform variance analysis, and provide financial recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Assess financial performance through comprehensive financial assessments.
Software Proficiency
- Utilize accounting software such as Tally ERP and Tally Prime for managing financial operations.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies in financial management.
Team Leadership
- Manage a team of 5-6 members, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Oversee multiple MIS reports shared with management daily, ensuring clear and precise communication.
- Motivate and lead the team to achieve optimal performance while ensuring alignment with company goals.
Banking And Import-Export Accounting
- Manage multiple bank accounts and handle all aspects of banking operations, including reconciliations and transactions.
- Oversee import-export accounting and banking transactions, liaising with creditors, debtors, and bankers.
Specialized Knowledge
- Manufacturing Accounting: Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting processes (preferred).
- Share Market & DMAT Accounts: Knowledge of share market transactions from an accounting perspective is a plus.
- Experience handling group companies with multi-company accounting is highly desirable.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management, specifically for group companies.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, Tally Prime, and other accounting software.
- Experience in managing compliance with TDS, GST, income tax, and audit requirements.
- Familiarity with import-export accounting and banking procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Hindi.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Proven experience in managing accounts for multiple companies, including manufacturing sectors.
- Prior experience handling complex financial operations, including multi-bank accounts and import-export transactions.
- Experience in managing a finance team and reporting directly to senior management.
