Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a relevant field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and the ability to connect with students
- Knowledge of educational programs and resources
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Proficiency in MS Office and educational software
- Experience in academic counseling will be an advantage
Roles And Responsibilities
- Assist students in understanding their academic goals and provide guidance to achieve them
- Advise students on course selection, program requirements, and educational resources
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to identify student needs and develop action plans
- Help students develop effective study skills and time management techniques
- Provide support to students facing academic challenges and recommend appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and prepare reports
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to ensure student success
- Stay updated on educational policies, programs, and requirements
- Participate in student orientation and other academic events
