Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Post-Academic Counselor to support students in navigating the European education system and provide guidance on university-level education opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of European higher education institutions, admission processes, and academic programs. The counselor will play a crucial role in helping students make informed decisions about their educational paths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising Students: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students on academic choices, career paths, and university selection based on individual goals and interests.
- Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated on the European education landscape, including university rankings, programs, and scholarship opportunities.
- Application Support: Assist students in preparing their university applications, including writing personal statements, CVs, and gathering necessary documentation.
- Workshops & Seminars: Organize and conduct informational workshops on topics such as university application processes, scholarship opportunities, and transitioning to higher education.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with universities, educational institutions, and other stakeholders in the European education sector.
- Cultural Guidance: Provide insights into cultural differences and integration challenges students may face when studying abroad.
- Monitoring Trends: Research and analyze trends in the European education system to inform program development and student services.
- Follow-Up: Maintain communication with students post-application to ensure they have the necessary resources and support for a smooth transition into university life.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree (preferred)
- Experience: Previous experience in academic advising, student counseling, or educational consultancy, preferably with a focus on the European education system.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the European higher education landscape, including universities, programs, and admission criteria.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
