Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
o Oversee and manage a team of academic counselors, ensuring their performance and development.
o Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to team members.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Student Counseling:
o Provide academic counseling to students, addressing their academic concerns and challenges.
o Assist students in course selection, academic planning, and time management.
o Offer guidance on career paths and explore potential opportunities.
Academic Advising:
o Advise students on academic policies, procedures, and regulations.
o Monitor student progress and identify potential academic issues.
o Develop and implement strategies to improve student academic performance.
Curriculum Development:
o Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to develop and review curriculum.
o Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and student needs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Collect and analyze data related to student academic performance and counseling outcomes.
o Prepare reports and presentations to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Student Retention and Success:
o Develop and implement strategies to enhance student retention and success.
o Identify and address factors that may contribute to student attrition.
o Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic counseling or a similar role.
Proven experience in team management and leadership.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and regulations.
Experience with student information systems and data analysis.
