Admission Counsellor

About the Role

You will be responsible for outreach to potential learners and parents to understand their needs and aspirations, counsel them accordingly and enrol them in Infinity Learn programs based on their needs. You will engage with learners, parents, academic institutions and internal teams to drive the business goals. It's an individual contributor role with the regional sales team of Infinity Schools business division.

Scope of the Role

  1. Enrolments: Work with a given set of prospective learners from partner schools. Reach out to learners and parents through in person meetings, counselling sessions, phone calls and other communication modes, understand their needs and aspirations, counsel and enrol them in Infinity Learn programs.
  2. Counselling activity Coordination: Plan and coordinate with the learner acquisition team, B2B sales team, marketing team and partner school stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of counselling activities
  3. Customer Satisfaction: Be transparent in sharing the feedback of the customers internally and proactively resolve problems and queries on time.
  4. Documentation: Complete the enrolment documentation, and collection of fee dues as per company policy.
  5. Reporting: Keep all reporting formats, CRM, documentation etc. updated on a day-to-day basis
  6. It's a high-energy job which requires you to spend 100% of your time interacting with learners and customers in a 6-day-a-week working environment with Mondays or Wednesdays as the weekly off.
  7. Travel- This role requires visiting customer locations across the zone with extensive travel.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. A graduate from any stream
  2. 1-5 years of experience in admission counselling in test prep sector in B2B2C environment (e.g. acquiring learners through tie-ups with schools).

  4. Quick learning- Picks up concepts, nuances, etc. quickly and adapts style to match the market and customer needs.
  5. Work ethic- A self-starter and comprehensive approach to doing things.
  6. Ownership- Should own agreed goals and achieve them even when faced with obstacles. Should focus on controllable variables, not on uncontrollable variables.
  7. Should enjoy interacting with parents and students and guiding them.

Skills

  1. Ability to sell a concept in a B2C and/or B2B2C environment.
  2. Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  3. Process orientation- Should follow the process and ensure enrolments and other activities are planned and executed as per defined processes.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills- Should be able to identify roadblocks and find ways to navigate them.
  5. Planning- Should be able to make daily, weekly and monthly plans to achieve business goals.
  6. Interpersonal skills and communication- Excellent communication and ability to build rapport and communicate concepts and company policies in a polite, persuasive and assertive manner.
  7. Should be fluent in regional language of the base location and English.
  8. Public Speaking: Should be able to speak to an audience in persuasive manner and communicate key ideas.
  9. Presentation Skills- Should be able to present concepts, and product demos to customers in a persuasive manner
