Description
We are looking for an experienced Academic Counsellor to join our team in Banglore. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Indian education system, as well as the job market trends and opportunities. The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students towards achieving their academic and career goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and counselling to students on academic and career choices
- Assist students in selecting the right courses based on their interests, abilities, and aspirations
- Help students identify their strengths and weaknesses and work towards improving them
- Stay up-to-date with the latest job market trends and opportunities
- Organize career fairs and workshops to provide students with information on various career options
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
- Collaborate with other academic counsellors and faculty members to enhance the student experience
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
- 1-11 years of experience in academic counselling, preferably in the Indian context
- Strong knowledge of the Indian education system and job market trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in organizing career fairs and workshops is a plus
