Overview
As an ABAP Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting SAP solutions for our organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining ABAP programs, interfaces, and reports to meet the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements.
- Design, code, test, and document custom programs and enhancements using ABAP.
- Provide technical expertise in SAP development tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to integrate SAP solutions with existing systems.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting of ABAP programs.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ABAP code.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Ensure adherence to coding and documentation standards.
- Provide support and maintenance for SAP applications.
- Conduct impact analysis and propose technical solutions for business requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality of developed solutions.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP development team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules and business processes.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Experience in SAP implementation and customization projects.
- Ability to design and develop custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
- Excellent understanding of SAP development tools and methodologies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in SAP ABAP is a plus.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as IDoc, ALE, and RFC.
- Experience in modifying standard SAP programs and forms.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality SAP solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
