We develop vehicle-based games in the simulation, driving, and racing genres. Our games have made us proud by consistently staying in the Top 30 games in the Racing category in the USA and beating (momentarily!) Nintendo Mario Kart in Japan! Key Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and implement visually appealing game environments, characters, and assets.
- Create and manage art assets, including concept art, character designs, environments, and animations.
- Ensure that all artwork aligns with the game's artistic vision and overall style.
- Collaborate with the game design team to ensure seamless integration of art elements into the overall game experience.
- Stay updated with current trends in game art and continuously seek to improve our game's visual appeal.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop art assets that align with our branding and marketing strategies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior artists and contribute to their professional growth.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality assets.
- Contribute to the creative process with innovative ideas and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-5 years of experience in game art, with a significant focus on art fundamentals.
- Expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Experience with 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or similar is a plus.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of game-related artwork, including character design, environments, and animations.
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and anatomy.
- Good communication and excellent collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game and graphic design principles.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and ability to integrate them with broader artistic concepts.
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Ability to create and implement particle effects and shaders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively under pressure.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated with industry advancements.
