Job Purpose
Shall be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and have a strong understanding of engineering and GD&T principles. The Draftsman will work closely with other designer and production engineers, to create accurate and detailed drawings for a variety of parts. Responsible of the control of drawings and the change orders, creating BOM on ERP and keeping records and documentation as per company policy.
Job Responsibilities
Technical
- Make layouts & assemblies drawings using the available CAD software
- Control of drawings and change management through DMS or PDM
- Creating the BOM on ERP
- Create 2D and layout for patterns manufacturing purposes.
- issuing and controlling ECN (engineering Change Notice)
- Preparing assembly drawings
- Create part codes and upload master data on ERP
- Trouble shooting & Improvement of design process
Quality
- Adhering to the EHS requirements for the design office
- Process Optimization
- Identifying the opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
- Implement new techniques, technologies, or equipment upgrades to improve Design and Machining processes.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of designs
- Providing technical support for product documentation creation at each factory and reviewing the produced documentation
Adaptability to fulfill any other job responsibilities as required by the company.
Job Requirements
- Diploma degree in Production/Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in CNC machining processes within a similar manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of casting and machining operations, principles.
- Strong understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances GD&T for big parts (20 tons+)
- Strong knowledge in 2D softwares i.e. AutoCAD
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
- Teamwork: Collaboration with engineers, designers, and other team members is often necessary, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
