BI&A Data Reporting & Visualization Analyst - Japan
This role will be based in the analytics team and work closely with the Japan analytics team in providing high quality data reporting and visualization support that can drive better customer experience and business impact for the Next Generation Customer Engagement through Org Japan's marketing team. This role will champion our self-service reporting strategy and play a key role in helping us automate and create scalable frameworks for our reporting and analytics.
The purpose of the BI&A team is to collaborate with Japan BU in providing high quality Analytical support. The BI&A team comprises of creative problem solvers who support achievement of the brand's goals, while always striving for process improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution: as individual contributor, responsible for data reporting and visualization
Build and exhibit deep expertise on available data sets and supports data enabled decision making using data from external suppliers (JPI, JPM, DDD, etc.) in Japan and internal data for various other sources in Co's Japan
Execute and monitor operations tasks to ensure timely availability of data in a reporting/ dashboard structure to the business.
Perform thorough data validations to ensure data quality
Respond to queries from internal stakeholders
Consistently meet operations SLAs
Perform incident resolution and root cause analysis to support data and reporting operations
Consistent delivery of high quality, timely and insightful reports to enable brand and senior leadership to track performance of Co's Japan brands
Develop and publish regularly, market intelligence Dashboards on KPIs related to Sales, sales growth, wholesaler inventory, market share, market growth, sales force activity, P2P and non-personal channel promotional impressions and engagement metrics etc.
Brand descriptive analytics and visualization to provide data-based insights on planning, measurement, and segmentation
NGCE performance analytics to provide insights in progress and health of NGCE initiative. Also, provide data support for NGCE Advanced Analytics including segmentation and campaign measurement
Developing into a trusted advisor by actively participating in various phases of the project including kick-off, methodology development, execution, insight generation and data visualization and results presentation to various stakeholders
Participating in meetings with stakeholders and communicating the final outputs and recommendations
Project Delivery: as team member, supporting the team lead in driving
quality, speed, value, and compliance throughout the analytics value chain
project management for seamless project execution, prioritization, and high-quality delivery
shared learning forums to identify challenges and establish best practices
expansion of analytical capability of the team by taking on more complex projects and delivering value
process improvements and implementation of analytical best practices
Education Requirements
Preferred degree in sciences or quantitative discipline i.e. Finance, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Sciences. Experience in pharma/healthcare industry is preferable
Experience Related Requirements
At least 4-5 years of evolving experience in data management, business/market intelligence, performance reporting and/or descriptive analytics for Marketing or other commercial leadership, with demonstrated results in understanding, structuring, and making sense of unfamiliar and messy datasetsTechnical Skills:
Expertise in writing and debugging efficient SQL queries.
Strong experience in data visualization tools - Power BI or Tableau (Power BI preferred) Should be able to independently design and develop dashboards as per business requirement.
Good to have pharma database knowledge such as Activity Data, Marketing and Sales Data
Advanced MS-office skills (MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint) Excel is Mandatory (Lookups, Pivot and Power Pivots and advanced excel formulas)
Coding: R, Python, Knime (Atleast 1)
Excel, VBA (Added advantage)
