A select list of top 25 institutions from all the four regions of the country.
What is in store at the regional level?
In realty, not more than 50 -60 business schools could be considered as truely national in character. Such schools get students from all over the country, have corporations visiting campus and providing profiles which are not language depenendent. But the total number of seats in such schools collectively will not move beyond 10000. So invariably most aspirants have to settle for Tier 2 or Tier 3 colleges in the country.
Now most of these colleges do not come under the radar for big corporations with pan India staffing needs. Most of these schools invariably get sales and frontline finance functions or line managers positions in HR or operations. All these positions demand substantial local language skills. At times even below average Enguish skills would pass the muster if you happen to be street smart.
In such a scenario, it is very important to assess one’s own capability before chosing the right institute. A regional school, is good bet, since its costs would be lower, and opportunities would be closer to ones abilities. So if you are from Matura, and understand the terrain better, a good school in Agra would serve your purpose vis a vis a lower grade school in Delhi.
